16 06 2010

I was surfing around on the Internets and came across a rather interesting find, a site devoted to Star Wars related Jewelry.

This search was originally brought about by the Fimo Clay art of C-3PO’s head found on this site: http://www.etsy.com/listing/13717837/c3po-necklace-scifi-1

This particular style is not what I am looking for, although I do appreciate the work that went into it, I decided to share with others this person’s work.

I then came across in my search a site that does have more the style of what I am looking for: http://www.swseller.com/JE.htm

C-3PO Backpack (revisited) Makes for World’s Most Obnoxious iPad Case

12 05 2010

I was surfing around, and I was impressed to see the popularity of the plush C-3PO backpack increasing significantly. I was also impressed to see it written about in the same conversation holding a negative note towards apple’s ipad. Here is a direct copy of the article found at: http://gizmodo.com/5537022/c+3po-backpack-makes-for-worlds-most-obnoxious-ipad-case

The best moment of the Star Wars trilogy was when C-3PO was nearly destroyed. Now you can commemorate that moment with the pleather C-3PO backpack.

Just like in the film, the robot isn’t all that useful—he comes with a mesh bag that’s basically only good for carrying himself along with any of his loose appendages. However, you can stuff his cavity with small objects—the iPad appears to be about the max payload—in a manner I like to imagine to be quite painful. When you’re done with the backpack, C-3PO can be reassembled in full as a 3-foot plush toy.

I still think it is a cool backpack, and I strongly suggest you get one. Especially if you have $500 to throw away on an over sized ipod touch, I think you should have this great collectors item to carry it in.

c-3po plush back pack

This is the most amazing addition to the C-3PO fashion category, and an exciting addition to school day fashion. I want one for sure, and I think you should force your kids to rock it as well, if they don’t like C-3PO… tell them this is as close to being Chewbacca as they can get before college. HA!

A post I found at:

A user wrote about a C-3PO backpack, so I had to share this. he post is located here:

C-3PO Sneakers: Nike Blazer ‘C3PO’ Customs Always Wired

10 02 2010

With Adiddas’ latest fashion movement embracing Star Wars themed foot wear and apperal, I was surprised that I haven’t seen a C-3PO version leaked onto the Internet yet. Being that C-3PO fashion seems to be making it’s way into the mainstream, a venture of research was undertaken to located a C-3PO shoe. What was found was not that produced by Adiddas, but by rival Nike found on widefashion.com

The article read as follows:
Opulence can be measured in the quantity of gold you have in your possession. It goes without saying that wearing this sneaker will give you the looks of opulence beyond doubt.

The Nike Blazer ‘C3PO’ Customs sneaker is without doubt an attractive footwear that will make you proud. If you’re a Star Wars fan then the name would definitely ring a bell. C3PO is surely one of the lovable characters in the series which got the fancy of movie freaks.

The sneaker comes in a gold foil material making it a real C3PO look-alike, except that it doesn’t talk like a robot. It does have all the shine and charisma of C3PO which has captivated fans of all ages the world over. The silver strip on the midsole is reminiscent of C3PO’s silver right leg in the movie.

You have to get the Nike Blazer ‘C3PO’ Customs sneaker if only for the translucent Nike swoosh with different colored wires inside. The wires are just right to keep C3PO always wired and reconfigured.

Fashion Model Wears $159,000 C-3PO Leggings

2 02 2010

C-3PO is making his way into the realm of fashion, stemming out of being a novelty print into the world of high fashion with high price tags. This example was found on Gizmodo.com The video via style.com and full article can be viewed by clicking on the image above. The article mentioned “…the work of Nicolas Ghesqui re. He imagines what the future of fashion will look like and still manages to be respected by the NYT…” and how the hit of the show was “…these golden C-3PO leggings, Star Wars come to life (without the annoying robot attached). Unfortunately, at $159,000, we’ll have to wait…”

This is one example of what I hope is an ever growing trend in C-3PO fashion… who saw that coming?
